How to Set Up Webhooks for Email Verification

What Are Webhooks

HTTP callbacks. When an event occurs, the service sends a POST to your URL. No polling required.

Setting Up Your Endpoint

Create an HTTP endpoint accepting POST. Parse JSON payload, process results, return 200 to acknowledge.

Registering

In MailEntriX dashboard, Settings > Webhooks. Enter URL, select events (batch completion, single verification, etc.).

Security

Check HMAC signature header. Compute signature with your webhook secret. Reject invalid signatures.

Retries

If your endpoint returns error, retries at 1 min, 5 min, 30 min, and 2 hours.

Common Use Cases

Auto-update CRM records. Trigger campaigns when clean lists are ready. Slack notifications. Update suppression lists.

Testing

Use ngrok for local testing. Use RequestBin to inspect payloads. MailEntriX provides a test webhook feature.
